Cesar Cimagala, former Sangguniang Bayan member of Candijay, allegedly inflicted physical injury to a suspected political destructor of his sister Monina Camacho during the latter's political party proclamation rally at Candijay Public Market on April 30, 2007.
The victim was Luciano Piquero, 42 years old and a resident of San Isidro, Candijay, Bohol.
According to the victim, he was about to buy fish in the market at around 5:30 in the afternoon, when Mr. Cimagala suddenly came out from the crowd, blocking the driveway en route to the fish stall causing him to stop his motorcycle engine.
With his goons around, Mr. Cimagala allegedly slapped him twice on his right shoulder, saying why he was yelling nuisancely during their rally at barangay San Isidro. When the said victim was about to react, Mr. Cimagala muzzled his mouth causing it to bleed.
The case has caught the audience' attention, thus allowing Mr. Piquero to escape from furhter harms.
The incident was clearly an irony to the Kampi's request for security force from the PNP against their alleged harassment threat from the local administration's political team.
