Measures are undertaken to protect people amid US embassy warning – Palace
By Jelly F. Musico

MANILA, Nov. 4 (PNA) – Malacanang said on Friday that measures are being undertaken to protect the people following the United States embassy’s warning to its citizens to avoid travelling to certain areas of southern Cebu.

Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said the Philippine National Police (PNA) is validating a report about a plan of terrorists to stage kidnapping in Southern Cebu.

”There was indeed a police report regarding a plan to stage a kidnapping in Southern Cebu. The report is in the process of being validated,” Abella said in a text message to Palace reporters.

Abella said PNP commanders at various levels have taken the necessary steps to protect possible targets.

”Moreover, other measures are being undertaken in public venues to safeguard crowds from harm,” he added.

According to report, the US Embassy advised its citizens not to travel in areas of Dalaguete and Santander, including Sumilon Island amid kidnapping threats by terror groups. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
