Group opposes PH Labor Code amendments

The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) expressed opposition against more than two dozen House bills that seek to amend the provisions of the Labor Code on security of tenure and contractualization. The group cited that some provisions of the House bills filed allow only contractual arrangements which are “not usually necessary or desirable, or directly related to the usual business of the principal” and would totally prohibit any form of contracting or outsourcing. ECOP underscored that implications of such prescription to employers is that they can no longer contract out janitorial, security, messengerial and even higher forms of contracting and outsourcing involving business processes and manufacturing.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
