Chinese business council vows to bring more delegations to PHLBy Kris M. Crismundo
MANILA, Dec 6 (PNA) -- China-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) Executive President Xu Ningning said the Council will bring more trade and investment missions to the Philippines in the coming years.
Xu told reporters here on Tuesday that some 100-man business delegation is set to visit the Philippines next year to explore opportunities in the country.
Xu is back in Manila as he led the second business mission from CABC following his visit last August.
He also stressed the opportunities for the Philippines and China to strengthen cooperation through the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road.
“The Philippines is one of the important countries in building the Maritime Silk Road,†Xu said.
“If the Philippines will participate in Maritime Silk Road, this will create practical cooperation and will develop comprehensive cooperation between China and the Philippines,†he added.
The China-led Economic Belt and Silk Road initiative aims to connect Asia, Europe, and Middle East countries. (PNA)
