DOJ chief orders probe on 'payoffs' in BI over arrest of Chinese workers in illegal online gaming facility
MANILA, Dec. 11 (PNA) -- Department of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Sunday ordered the National Bureau of Invesitgation (NBI) to probe allegations of massive pay-offs in the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in relation to the arrest of the more than 1,300 Chinese nationals allegedly working without required visas and permits at the Fontana Leisure Park in Clark, Pampanga.
"I have tasked the NBI to probe for the truth behind these allegations", Aguirre said.
"We will leave no stone unturned and there will be no sacred cows! We will hold those found responsible accountable! Corruption, of any kind has no place in the DoJ family, it has no place in government," he said adding President Duterte's marching orders to is very clear, aboslutely no corruption and the mandate will be relentlessly pursued. 

It will be recalled that President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the arrest of Chinese gaming tycoon Yon Lok Lam alias Jack Lam, the owner of the said online gaming facility, for economic sabotage. (PNA)
