Licuanan says she will continue performing her role as CHED chair

MANILA, Dec. 5 (PNA) -- Commission on Higher Education chairperson Patricia Licuanan said Monday she will follow the order for her to stop attending Cabinet meetings but will continue to perform her role as commission chief.

Licuanan said in a statement that the instruction for her to stop attending Cabinet meetings was sent by Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. through a text message on Sunday.

Licuanan was appointed by former president Benigno Aquino III and her term will end in 2018.

President Rodrigo Duterte has earlier endorsed his former professor, Jose David Lapuz, as head of CHED. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
