Cloudiness, rain likely till Sunday
MANILA, Dec. 3 (PNA) -- Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Eastern Visayas, CARAGA, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula and Davao regions, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical ServicesAdministration (PAGASA) said in its 24-hour forecast released Saturday afternoon (Dec.3).
The easterlies are affecting the country's eastern section, noted PAGASA.
PAGASA also said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected over extreme Northern Luzon's Batanes province and Calayan Islands.
The northeast monsoon or 'amihan' is affecting extreme Northern Luzon, PAGASA said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and rest of the country, PAGASA said further.
In its gale warning 12 released Saturday afternoon, PAGASA said strong to gale-force winds associated with 'amihan' will likely affect Northern Luzon's northern seaboard covering Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan islands as well as the northern coasts of Cagayan and IlocosNorte provinces.
PAGASA forecast 52 kph to 63 kph winds to fan rough to very rough seas there with waves up to 4.5 meters high.
"Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves," PAGASA added. (PNA)
