After The Affair - Healing The Manipulated HeartWhen we discover the men whose socks we pick up off the bathroom floor, whose nose and facial hairs we clean from the bathroom sinks, whose underwear we wash, dry and fold, and tuck neatly in drawers, whose dentist appointments we schedule, and whose meals we cook are having affairs with women whose only duty it is to show up, look nice, smell pretty, and giggle--whose only requirement is to help our husbands behave like cowardly little boys rather than the dedicated, responsible men we thought we were pledging our lives to, it is almost impossible not to fill with rage, and get stuck in the muck feeling deceived can create. We are not responsible for who our husbands portray themselves to be. Nor are we responsible for any woman's lack of moral character and obvious low self esteem, and ferocious ability to live in denial. Why would any woman knowingly settle for someone else's husband when she could just as easily go find a man who could put her first in his life? Wives--for your own beautiful sake--let it go.
