Understanding extreme sensitivity to criticismIn my previous article dealing with criticism i said that criticism only hurts when it touches an already existing wound.
We become extremely sensitive to criticism when we already have a certain wound that we remember whenever someone criticizes us.
For example if you are too concerned because you are not successful or even because you consider yourself a failure then most likely you will be extremely sensitive to any critical comment that questions your competence.
Depending on the number of the wounds you have you might be able to tolerate criticism in certain areas while being extremely sensitive to it in other areas.
If you get high grades each year but have no friends then you will tolerate criticism when it comes to questioning your intelligence or dedication but as soon as someone criticizes your social skills you will feel really bad.
