Congratulations on Christopher's Confirmation into the Roman Catholic Church. Manay, you asked a rather poignant question.
"What difference does it make" (in regards to the Rite of Confirmation). This is a necessity. This is the epitome of being 'BORN AGAIN'. You see, we are baptized in water and in the spirit when we were children (child baptism), however, it is in confirmation that one accepts and reiterates and upholds the promises of that baptismal rite. In Confirmation we reaffirm our beliefs, that we reject Satan, that we believe in the One Holy and Apostolic Catholic Church, that we recognize the remission of sins, the salvation of those who believe in Jesus Christ, the Trinitarina God-Head, and in the Sacraments of the Holy Church. Confirmation is the Final Step.
The first step is baptism, the second step is Holy Communion, and the third and final step is the Rite of Confirmation. It is the reaffirmation of the Faith, and the step in becoming a soldier in Jesus Christ. A brother and sister in Jesus Christ. And a member of Christ's Church. Isn't it beautiful to have your name written and secured in Heaven?
Salvation. Isn't it such a wonderful gift? A treasure more noble and grander than any materialistic thing in the earth.

What is Christopher's Confirmation name, Manay?
For me, when I was confirmed into the Church in 2007 (after many years of searching and then finding Christ---and what Glorious experience it was to be Saved in Christ--and chose to be confirmed into the Church with my sister while we were both in College. We were confirmed in Easter 2007 with my friends Donald and Bryan as our sponsors). My confirmation name is Gabriel; after the Archangel Gabriel, the Messenger of the Incarnation. My sister's was Veronica, after the saint who wiped the face of our Savior Lord during his march to Calvary.
God Bless!
Yours In Christ,
Bran
