a glimpse of HEAVEN
« on: July 21, 2009, 06:36:25 AM »

17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a
class. The subject was what Heaven was like. 'I wowed 'em,' he later
told his father, Bruce. 'It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best
thing I ever wrote..' It also was the last.
Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was
driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce
Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the
wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.
The Moores framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family
portraits in the living room. 'I think God used him to make a point. I
think we were meant to find it and make something out of it,' Mrs. Moore
said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision
of life after death. 'I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know
I'll see him.'
Brian's Essay: The Room...
In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the
room.
There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered
with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that
list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files,
which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either
direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of
files, the first to catch my attention was one that read 'Girls I have
liked.' I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut
it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one..
And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.
This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for
my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and
small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and
curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly
opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet
memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would
look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.
A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have betrayed.'
The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird 'Books I Have
Read,' 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes I Have Laughed
at .' Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: 'Things I've yelled
at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things I Have Done in My
Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents.' I never
ceased to be surprised by the contents.
Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I
hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived.
Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of
these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this
truth.
Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.
When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized
the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly,
and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I
shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the
vast time I knew that file represented.
When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run
through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test
its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content..
I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost
animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever
see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy
them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter
now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end
and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card.
I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as
steel when I tried to tear it.
Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning
my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.
And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel
With.'
The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I
pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long
fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.
And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt.
They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and
cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The
rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever,
ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as
I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.
No, please not Him. Not here.. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched
helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't
bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to
look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.
He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read
every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He
looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't
anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to
cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said
so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.
Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end
of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name
over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find
to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't
be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so
alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He
gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the
cards. I d on't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but
the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back
to my side.
He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood
up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There
were still cards to be written.
'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.'-John 3:16. 'I
can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. '-Phil. 4:13.
My ' People I shared the gospel with' file just got bigger, how about
yours?

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

What is Heaven?
Paradise? Eternal Life? Are these the same?
There are at least four major strands of thought in the Bible and in Christian tradition contributing to contemporary notions of heaven.
Heaven
Paradise
Eternal life
The kingdom of God

Let's take a closer look at each:

Heaven in the Hebrew Bible is used as a synonym for "sky," and there is considerable evidence to show that in the ancient world people thought of God as quite literally a "sky dweller." The term is used this way, for example, when the psalmist writes: "The heavens declare the glory of God." (Psalm 6). And Jesus echoes the image when he addressed God as: "Our Father, in heaven."

Paradise, which many equate with "heaven," is derived from a Persian word for a nobleman's park or garden. The word also refers to the biblical Garden of Eden, and connotes a world without suffering, sin or death. Jesus also used this term, as for example, when he said to the thief hanging next to him on the cross, "Today you shall be with me in Paradise."

Eternal life -- This phrase refers to the depth and quality of life as much as it does to life's duration. In the New Testament one does not enter into "eternal life" at death, but rather in the here and now as one keeps the faith and the commandments. As Jesus put it: "And I know that His commandment is eternal life."

The kingdom of God -- This phrase is a beautiful and subtle one, which Jesus preferred to the others, making it the focal point for this own teaching. The kingdom of God (or the kingdom of heaven) refers to any time or place where the will of God is done. It was to hasten the day when the will of God would be done on earth that Jesus devoted and ultimately sacrificed his life. And he used the phrase with the clear meaning that God's presence was something to be experienced now: "Behold, the kingdom of heaven is in the midst of you!"

"Nobody had gone to heaven?"

Yes, there was.
Over 2,000 years ago my Lord God and Savior the
Lord Jesus Christ came to this world from heaven,
  dwell among men was crucified
and died for my sins and for the
  whole world.
On the third day he arose and went to heaven and
sit on the right hand side of the heavenly Father
on the third heaven (Hebrews 10:12 KJV)
Yes, He has risen, He is alive, my God is alive.

stateville, Christ  was  in heaven since creation of the world with His farher long
before he was born.  What I mean is people like us that go to heaven and came
back to earth.

After His ressurection Jesus, came back to His father in heaven.

Let us read Revelation, it is described to us:

"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea." (Revelation 21:1) "Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." (Revelation 21:2) "And" God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

Revelations 21: 5-27

5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

9And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

 11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

 19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

----

Christ IS the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end. It was revealed to us in Christ's transfiguration that He is the Glory of Heaven, for all things were created For Him, and Through Him. As we saw the same in the transsubstantiation of water to whine, bread to body, whine to blood.

Christ Is Savior. Christ Is King. Christ Is LORD.

Repent and be Saved!

The God of Heaven is the Lord

First of all it must be known who the God of heaven is, since upon that all the other things depend. Throughout all heaven no other than the Lord alone is acknowledged as the God of heaven. There it is said, as He Himself taught,

That He is one with the Father;
that the Father is in Him, and He in the Father;
that he who sees Him sees the Father;
and that every thing that is holy goes forth from Him
( John 10:30, 38; 14:9-11; 16:13-15).

I have often talked with angels on this subject, and they have invariably declared that in heaven they are unable to divide the Divine into three, because they know and perceive that the Divine is One and this One is in the Lord. They also said that those of the church who come from this world having an idea of three Divine beings cannot be admitted into heaven, since their thought wanders from one Divine being to another; and it is not allowable there to think three and say one. Because in heaven every one speaks from his thought, since speech there is the immediate product of the thought, or the thought speaking. Consequently, those in this world who have divided the Divine into three, and have adopted a different idea of each, and have not made that idea one and centered it in the Lord, cannot be received into heaven, because in heaven there is a sharing of all thoughts, and therefore if any one came thinking three and saying one, he would be at once found out and rejected. But let it be known that all those who have not separated what is true from what is good, or faith from love, accept in the other life, when they have been taught, the heavenly idea of the Lord, that He is the God of the universe. It is otherwise with those who have separated faith from life, that is, who have not lived according to the precepts of true faith.

Those within the church who have denied the Lord and have acknowledged the Father only, and have confirmed themselves in that belief, are not in heaven; and as they are unable to receive any influx from heaven, where the Lord alone is worshiped, they gradually lose the ability to think what is true about any subject whatever; and finally they become as if dumb, or they talk stupidly, and ramble about with their arms dangling and swinging as if weak in the joints. Again, those who, like the Socinians, have denied the Divinity of the Lord and have acknowledged His Humanity only, are likewise outside of heaven; they are brought forward a little towards the right and are let down into the deep, and are thus wholly separated from the rest that come from the Christian world. Finally, those who profess to believe in an invisible Divine, which they call the soul of the universe ( Ens universi), from which all things originated, and who reject all belief in the Lord, find out that they believe in no God; since this invisible Divine is to them a property of nature in her first principles, which cannot be an object of faith and love, because it is not an object of thought. Such have their lot among those called Naturalists. It is otherwise with those born outside the church, who are called the heathen; these will be treated of hereafter.

Infants, who form a third part of heaven, are all initiated into the acknowledgment and belief that the Lord is their Father, and afterwards that He is the Lord of all, thus the God of heaven and earth. That children grow up in heaven and are perfected by means of knowledges, even to angelic intelligence and wisdom, will be seen in the following pages.

Those who are of the church cannot doubt that the Lord is the God of heaven, for He Himself taught,

That all things of the Father are His (Matt. xi. 27; John xvi. 15; xvii.2).
And that He hath all power in heaven and on earth (Matt. xxviii. 18).

He says "in heaven and on earth," because He that rules heaven rules the earth also, for the one depends upon the other. "Ruling heaven and earth" means to receive from the Lord every good pertaining to love and every truth pertaining to faith, thus all intelligence and wisdom, and in consequence all happiness, in a word, eternal life. This also the Lord taught when He said:- e that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that believeth not the Son shall not see life (John iii. 36).

Again:- I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth on Me, though he die yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth on Me shall never die (John xi. 26, 26).

And again:- I am the way, the truth, and the life (John xiv. 6).

There were certain spirits who while living in the world had professed to believe in the Father; but of the Lord they had the same idea as of any other man, and therefore did not believe Him to be the God of heaven. For this reason they were permitted to wander about and inquire wherever they wished whether there were any other heaven than the heaven of the Lord. They searched for several days, but nowhere found any. These were such as place the happiness of heaven in glory and dominion; and as they were unable to get what they desired, and were told that heaven does not consist in such things, they became indignant, and wished for a heaven where they could lord it over others and be eminent in glory like that in the world.

--Emanuel Swedenborg

Absolutley. NO ONE can come to the Father but through Him, who is Christ Jesus.

As we see, and observe, God The Father is The Supreme Lord of All. But as we see and read in Genesis, God and Man's link was severed and God's favor to man was tested in the fall of Adam and Eve in Eden.

Where the most wretched, most impure, most decieving, father of liars, the demon satan, May The Lord God REBUKE him, decieved Eve into taking of the fruit, and herself decieing Adam. To the rebuke of the Lord God of Heaven, who specifically and purposely forwarned them in partaking of that said fruit.

The bond between God and man was  re-esterified by the coming of THE CHIRST, as predicted and fortold by the prophets (Elijah, Jeremiah, etc). Christ, who IS God in THE FLESH, came down from Heaven to bear witness of the PURE Love and Forgiveness of His Father In Heaven. That God would humble HIMSELF to die for sinful man, so that those who would believe in HIM, would be saved from eternal perdition, as is already destined for the world. For the world belongs to Satan, May the Lord God rebuke him. The flesh is finite, but the eternal soul--which liveth in the body--hidden from the eyes and senses, but does occupies the body--is and was created for Heaven and Eternal Reunion with The Father.

God Loves Us, that is undeniable. He loves even sinners, and those that do not know of Him or choose to accept him.

God Loves us so much, that he would offer the precious blood of The Perfect Lamb, Christ Jesus, who is SALVATION ON HIGH, that WHOEVER so believeth in Him and calls on HIM, will be saved! Saved! :)

But for those who do not, and choose to follow false pretense and prophets, shall be destined to the Eternal Pyre.

As Christ Tells us, "There will be false christs and false prophets that will come to mislead the sheep."

God Bless~
In Christ Jesus' Name!
Amen.

Among the people here on Earth, only two had a glimpse of heaven
2Corinthian 12:1-4= apostle Paul's celestial journey to heaven,
                                  and came back to tell
Revelation 1:10-15 = apostle John saw heaven
and  chapter 21 = it speaks about the glory of the millennium kingdom
                                 after the  great tribulation period

Repent and get saved.

I want to go to heaven, anybody who can tell me how to go there?

Misty, I will show you how to get to heaven
when time comes for you to face the Lord.
In Biblical way as the Lord has commanded us to do
that is if you are willing to do it.

step 1- recognize yourself  a sinner by birth
            Psalm 51:5 - "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me"
Romans 5:12 - "Wherefore, as by one man  sin entered
into the world and death by sin; and so death
passed upon all men, for that all have sinned"
Sin through Adam, salvation through Christ
step 2 - all of us are under sin
Romans 3:9,10  "There is none righteous, no not one"
step 3- the consequences of sin
Romans 6:13 "Neither yield ye your members as instruments
of unrighteousness unto sin; but yield yourselves
unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and
your members as instruments of righteousness
                                    unto God"
              We died physically and spiritually
step 4 - God's supreme sacrifice
Romans  5:8 "But God commendeth his love towards us, in
that, while we yet sinners, Christ died for us"
              Hope for you in Christ.
step 5- what the sinner must do
            Acts 17:30 "And the time of this ignorance God winked at;
but now commandeth all men every where to repent"
step 6- Repent, turn to God
Romans 10:9 -"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"
Romans 9:10- "For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness ; and with the mouth confession is
                      made unto salvation"
1Corinthian 15:1-4 "..how that Christ died for our sins
                        according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the
                        third day "
step 7- Call upon the Lord to saved you
Romans 10:11 "Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed"
Romans 10:13 " For whosoever shall call upon the name of the
                                        Lord shall be saved"
Acts 16:30, 31 " What must I do to be saved"
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou
shalt be saved and thy house"

Kani pa, states!:

(Revelation 3:20)

Christ is Salvation. For there is no other name In Earth or In Heaven that we will be saved. None what so ever! In Christ and in CHRIST ALONE!

That's right Lorenzo, yes  the Lord is waiting for anyone
who would like to accept Him as Lord and Savior.

Proverbs 27:1 -"Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou
knowest not what a day may bring"
Nobody knows when we gonna die, so it's better to be
prepared all the time or else we  might find ourselves
in eternal flame of hell forever.

Revelation 3:3 "Remember, therefore how thou hast received
and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore
thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief
and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee"

Hell is not made for the people,
it is the people who choose to go there.
