"On Memorial Day I looked out my kitchen window and my next door neighbor was digging a hole in my back yard. When I went outside to see what was going on, he told me had just bought a tree and was planting it for me. Two of his nephews were helping him. Three grown men giving me this beautiful, thoughtful gift. The only reason they gave is that they knew I was missing the trees that had to be cut down last year due to disease. What a delight! This is a family that no one wanted in our neighborhood because of his race. How blessed for me to be the recipient of such generosity! It made my heart sing all day!"

Maria posted the following:

"Many years ago my life was so different and I had endured more hardships than a very young person should and I am forever grateful to the Jewish Federation for their support in more ways than one. Not just monetary but in every possible manner a human being is entitled to who needed to be part of the human family again. The Jewish Federation is a wonderful philanthropic institution and I encourage everyone to donate to the good works they do. They ask nothing in return. Take my word for it, I am a very successful person, happy and contented because of the good works of the Jewish Federation."

Another poster shared the following:

"Aside from Christ’s abundant generosity on the cross and in the Eucharist ...

and our Church fathers’ abundant generosity in handing down the faith by learning, living, defending, and dying for the faith ...

and all the Clergy and Religious throughout the centuries and also here and now in service to us for God ...

and all those who have sacrificed to gain and maintain our freedom ...

I have been utterly amazed at the generosity within my own parish. I know somebody has to pay for our church buildings, appointments, upkeep, staffing, and "goodies" like bibles and calendars and magazines and such items. I can barely tithe to my church (and it’s something I really need to work on). It can only be because others in my parish have tithed generously that I too can benefit from all that my parish has to offer.

It is with a very grateful heart that I attend daily mass in full religious freedom to receive, from a priest, the Holy Word and the precious body and blood of our Lord in a facility that is befitting of our glorious God.

Let us not take God’s grace for granted.

Pax Christi"

Karen shares the following:

"On Friday my daughter was leaving on a weekend trip and in her haste packing the car, left her suitcase sitting in the busy parking lot of her apartment complex. When she realized what she had done, she returned home about an hour later. The suitcase was gone. It was full of expensive belongings. She contacted her apartment office when they opened the next day, but the suitcase had not been found. But praise be to God, someone turned it in the next afternoon! I thank God for answering our prayers, for St. Anthony, St. Rita, St. Jude, St. Michael, St. Raphael, St. Gabriel, and our guardian angels for interceding for us. I ask God to bless the person or persons who were so kind and honest for taking the trouble to return the suitcase!"

Several weeks ago, I was getting ready to go to work. I realized had kept my SUV's lights on , which resulted on a dead battery. I realized that I was going to be really late for work. I prayed to God for help that he would send someone to help me. Lo and behold I saw a man sitting in his car adjacent to where I parked my car , I went over to him and asked him if he could help me. This man, who was in his late 40's or early 50's, immediately got out of his car.

"What happened?"

I replied, "My battery went out. Do you mind if you could help spark my SUV?"

"Sure, open your hood!"

As I went to my car and readied my spark plugs, I heard his voice,

"Don't worry, I have my own plugs!"

I was so relieved.

After 5 minutes of warming his car and putting some juice into my battery, eventually, my SUV was brought back to life. I truly was so grateful for his help and for kindness. I give thanks to God for sending Victor, that was his name, to me in my moment of weakness.

Truly, if you trust in the Lord, He will lead you and will make a way for you!
