I volunteered to give blood, even if I was crying while filling up the forms!  Guns will not scare me but needles do!  But I had to overcome my fear so I may be able to help a person live!  Besides, it was my promise to God when Mom was fighting for her life in Cebu for a critical kidney surgery that no matter what, I will give blood, in return for those many people who gave blood for Mom.

When I was in college, during weekends, I helped the nuns of the Mother Theresa Orphanage fed and clean the kids that were left behind by their parents.  It was a very emotionally-charged activity but it was emotionally-rewarding too!

I did some volunteering too when I was still active with Kiwanis and Jaycees.  We once had a project na mag tuli sa mga bata.  Pastilan,  I thought I couldn't possibly be a part of it kay basin ako ma una ug ka collapse but naa man lain ma trabaho like mag prepare sa mga medicines or mag assist sa registration.

For a year here in BC, I am still an active volunteer of Surrey Parks, Recreation and Culture. I support individuals with special needs, (Fun for Kids programs, Teen Blast, Winter and Summer Camps and swimming lessons for children with autism) during weekends.

Another exciting event this November is BC Wheelchair Sports....usa na pod ko sa mga volunteers....

I am happy and proud working with children with special needs....

I volunteered my time to accept pledges in support of Public televesion.

I volunteered my time every year to help all the JI visa students from several countries through out the world.

I assist them with their Personal financial and medical problems and tried to make them feel more welcome here in the US.
