substantive government revamp

PGMA makes giant steps for the nation to move on
Tacloban City (30 June 2005) -- While the opposition and militant groups are making noise and emotional outbursts that sow chaos and havoc, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo goes on with the work of governance, bent on putting the nation in order.

She announced that her husband and her son have volunteered to leave the country to be far away from intrigues and controversies. This is not an easy decision to make considering how closely knit the ties of Filipino families are. But as a true servant leader, for the President, it is God first, the nation second and the family last.

Presidential Economic adviser, Rep. Joey Salceda disclosed that a very substantive government revamp that would address the concerns of the people and the convening of a constitutional convention are two major announcements that the President will make in the near future.

The major initiatives are manifestations that the President is on track to accomplishing her administration's tasks unfazed by the opposition's continuous fuelling of public outrage. The president is focused on completing the economic reforms she had started no matter what it takes because this is what the Filipino people expect of her.

The support of various sectors and bodies like ratings agency Fitch is a positive sign that the President is believed to be able to ride out the machinations of the people who want to grab power at the expense of democracy.

The Filipino people will never allow the political moro-moro to destroy the gains and push back the economic quagmire the country was once stuck in.

Filipinos know better. They will never allow themselves to be used by people who are hungry of power. If the ordinary citizens would have it, they no longer want to further the political and social unrest that is crippling the nation.

They will never be deceived by the outbursts of emotions from the President's detractors. They know that these detractors are motivated by personal interests, not with the noble cause of saving the country from trouble. They know that there are more pressing problems that must be faced. They know that the nation must move on. (PIA 8)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
