by Aleli Aggasid-Batara
Laoag City (24 June 2005) -- The arrival of Robert Tarongoy in the country today is a welcome respite from all the problems and confusion.

After seven months of being adducted by Iraqi militants Tarongoy came home to the warm embrace of his family and countrymen.

Kudus is due the crisis team of the Philippine Government for staying the course and exhausting all diplomatic channels to bring home the striving accountant who only wanted to help his family by working abroad.

The government has denied paying $1.4 million in ransom saying it was their negotiation efforts that ensured the safe return of Tarongoy.

With this development the Department of Foreign Affrairs has stressed once again the work ban in Iraq.
The DFA has reiterated that the primary consideration in deploying Overseas Filipino Workers is their safety in their work environment.

The Namfrel claims there are no proofs of massive fraud in the May 2004 elections as alleged by some groups.
The independent body denies reports of conniving with the government to tamper the results of the previous electoral exercise and reflect the victory of the administration candidates. (PIA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
