RP economy sound - Palace
MANILA (26 June 2005) -- The bullish outlook of the international business community of the country's economy is speaking well of the nation's sound economic reform agenda and affirms the integrity of the national leadership.
Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesman Ignacio Bunye made the comment as American banking giant JP Morgan Chase grooms the
Philippines as a major global backroom hub despite concerted efforts to malign President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Bunye conveyed that the positive views ascribed to the present administration's efforts to strengthen the economy are inspiring the government officials to focus more on what they have started upon.
He pointed out that the economic momentum gained by the nation can't be easily reversed by the blaring noise of a few losers.
Meanwhile, the Palace official urged the country to rise above the political din and unite to steel itself against the rice in oil prices in the world market - the most important challenge today. (PIA-MMIO)
