Lightning kills 11 in eastern India
NEW DELHI, June 1 (PNA/Xinhua) -- At least 11 people were killed and two others injured on Wednesday due to lightning in eastern Indian state of Odisha, officials said.

The lightning struck in the afternoon at different places in the north of Bhubaneswar city, the capital of Odisha.

"In the first incident, three persons were killed due to lightning on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar," an official said. "The other fatalities were reported from Kendrapada, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj districts."

Reports said two critically injured people in Mayurbhanj have been hospitalized.

Different parts of Odisha are experiencing rainfall and thundershowers for the past two days, and the weather is likely to remain wet in the next 24 hours. (PNA/Xinhua)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
