Internet Chat Leads to Rape
« on: October 12, 2016, 11:46:47 AM »
January 17, 2001 - Bohol Chronicle

A casual Internet talk which later prospered into an intimate E- mail messaging routine, ultimately taught a young Boholana dentistry student in Cebu City a bitter lesson when she was raped.
The 20-year-old lass from Garcia-Hernandez town, has since stopped schooling since the rape resulted to unwanted pregnancy.
Monalisa (not her real name) has sought the assistance of the National Bureau of Investigation for the filing of a proper charges against the suspect, a certain Dexter Lao.
Lao, 24, and a computer programmer of an Internet shoppe in Cebu City, was nabbed on Thursday by the NBI after he recently raped another young, beautiful victim, believed to be a kin of a Cebu politician.
Monalisa first got acquainted with her would-be-rapist in one of her chats through the Internet last year.
She was then lodging at a dormitory near the Capitol Site in Cebu City while pursuing her dentistry course in one of the universities there.
When Lao thought that he had already the trust of her unseen Internet friend, he asked Monalisa for a meeting date at an uptown mall.
Meanwhile, Monalisa was faithfully convinced by Lao's sweet talks and gentlemanly advances that she readily accepted the invitation.
During that meeting, Lao invited the innocent lass to his house in Consolacion, a town near Cebu City, to see his computer.
She went along with him to his house and both proceeded to his computer room.
But once inside his room, the host, suddenly hugged Monalisa and raped her.
The incident occurred last June but Monalisa managed to surface and pinpoint her sexual assailant only after Lao was arrested last week for raping another pretty girl.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
