PGMA resignation, snap elections not Pinoys' sentiment - Bunye
MANILA (30 June 2005) -- "The calls for the resignation of the President and for the conduct of snap elections are not the general sentiment of the Filipino people."

Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesman Ignacio Bunye issued the comment after an angry Susan Roces made calls on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to step down from presidency.

Bunye said the calls are machinations of the very same people who want to grab power at the expense of democracy and the Constitution.

The Palace official pointed out: "We will not allow this political circus to destroy our gains and push us back to the economic quagmire where the country was once stuck in.

He added that President Arroyo is bent on completing the economic and fiscal reforms that she had started no matter what it takes as this is what the Filipino people have expected her to do. (PIA-MMIO)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
