The provincial government is contemplating of disposing off its real properties, considered as non-performing assets (NPAs). The said properties are unredeemed and have not been subjected to bidding.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan is set to refer the matter to the committees on government properties and ways and means, to sell some 29 parcels of agricultural lands situated in different municipalities.

The plan to resell was based on the Local Government Code. In auctions conducted on May 15-16 and 19-22, and 26-27, 2003, no bidders dared to redeem the lots. The failure of redemption of said properties and delinquency in tax payments means forfeiture in favor of the province.

The Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) strongly indorsed the move to re-trade the NPAs even as it prepared a Provincial Ordinance “authorizing the PTO for the resale through public auction of tax delinquent properties already forfeited in favor of the Province of Bohol.”

The properties are located in the municipalities of Alicia, Mabini, Ubay, Talibon, Dagohoy, San Miguel, Catigbian and Sikatuna.

“The delinquent real properties offered for sale at the public auction had no bidders. Consequently, such properties were purchased in behalf of the Province pursuant to section 263 of the Local Government Code of 1991,” the proposed Ordinance explains.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
