After Erap Estrada’s departure from Malacañang
« on: November 04, 2017, 11:35:44 PM »
On January 19, 2001, late Friday night, while the throng in Edsa anxiously awaited Estrada’s departure from Malacañang, four generals met with Armed Forces chief of staff Gen. Angelo Reyes, ferried by helicopter from Fort Bonifacio to Camp Aguinaldo. Two of the generals are service commanders, one is at the helm of a huge regional command, and the other was head of an intelligence unit. If they had their way, people power would have been imperiled. Why, these impetuous officers asked General Reyes, were they turning over the reins of power to the vice president? They could be the power brokers and form a civilian-military junta. Reyes firmly stood his ground and dismissed their adventurist idea. Still not giving up, the four generals again broached the idea to Reyes the next day. The chief of staff curtly told them there was nothing more to be said on the matter. These generals are still very much around. We wonder what they’re up to next. - source: newsbreak.ph

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
