[i read about your article re: hurdling challengesis his way of life: vito beltran rapal.
most of stories might be true and or purely imagination, but one thing " Negotiation have already been finalized with BWUI for Corella to collect P25 per cubic meter for the water it has sourced for Tagbilaran City. This is retroactive January 13, 2003, at P200, 000 a month. A good source of income for a town that is developing.
you might take a second look of this paragraph, mr.ligalig. corella, bohol is still a 6th class municipality, may be the only one in bohol. with mr. rapal as mayor for three (3) consecutive term. are you considering this as an achievement? the new public market, the rennovated municipal building and health center, purchased of heavy equipments and etc. are you considering this as an achievement? you maybe blinded with true and legitimate facts, mr ligalig.
for every project, the mayor has at least 10% kickback/grease money, SOP or whatever you call it. he must do his assignment to get this 10% or more. but its only peanuts with all his vices, cockfighting and etc. with all this projectts that you have mentioned, mr. rapal got what he wanted, or he wanted more?
the bottom line here, is there any improvement in the life of a single corellahanon, the hardship they are exeperiencing the increasing cost of basic commodities, the daily fare that each corellahanon pay to get a proper education, the water and electicity bill, the tax and all the other list, and now even the cost of water is so much for every corellahanon that is suppose to be subsidized if not free due to our high volume of water supply, which we pride as our source.
presently, with corella's huge deficit/debt with BWUI and from now where the loans for the rennovation of the public market.would you consider this an achievement, mr.ligalig. The fact that corella owed a huge amount of money to BWUI is a hidden agenda, and not posssibly seen by the public eye, no one has an easy access to this facts and figure due to "sugo sa mayor nga dili ipagawas ang inpormasyon".
corella should have a big surplus of money for the huge volume of water extracted and sold to BWUI, but its in the contrary i'm afraid we lost and we lost heavily. we lost due to the incompetent and underachieved municipal officials of Corella,Bohol.now tell me dis it an achievement or a failure?
the major achievement which is still a longshot dream for corella, is to get what corella supposed to get with regards to the water deal, and this is the bottom line. once we achieve this, this will propel corella to be one of the most progressive town in bohol, it will be a chain reaction. we will be self sufficient.
mr.rapal and the rest of the SB of corella, didn't see this as a present and future source of income.
mr.ligalig, just be realistic and be careful of what you're publishing. we don not condone erring politicians. we only publish the truth and the most important thing is not misleading the general public. whatever your motives, you still have guilty conscience.
mr. ligalig, beneficium accipere libertatem est vendere
