Some 132 day care pupils from the town of Corella were the recent beneficiaries of the “Alay sa mga Bata†outreach program of the Bohol Sandugo Jaycees and Island City Mall held last Thursday.
The day care children, coming from Corella’s 8 barangays, were treated to a free movie at the Screenville Cinemas, snacks and lunch courtesy of Jollibee, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Lucky Me and Nido, free rides at the ICM Worlds of Fun and a chance to meet Jollibee mascots during an entertainment show at the ICM Activity Center.
A joint undertaking of the Sandugo Jaycees and Island City Mall, in the occasion of its 3rd Anniversary.
Featured in the free movie was the all-time children’s favorite cartoon animation, Ice Age.
A live entertainment showcasing winners of the ICM Talent Search for the Voice delighted the kids, Corella day care workers and parents while lunch and snacks were served by Jaycee members and ICM staff.
Gift packs were given as prizes to the kids during games and contests at the ICM Activity Center.
The kids were likewise given tokens for free rides at the Worlds of Fun after the games.
Bohol Sandugo Jaycees President and Board Member-elect Alfonso ‘Ae’ Damalerio II thanked Corella Mayor Vito Rapal and the day care workers from the 8 barangays who assisted in making the outreach program a success.
Damalerio likewise congratulated the Alturas Group of Companies and the Island City Mall management and staff for their 3rd Anniversary.
He also expressed his gratitude to ICM for co-sponsoring the activity and vowed to undertake more community outreach projects, which is the core commitment of the Bohol Sandugo Jaycees.
