MS. MARIA ELENA ARBON
Provincial Director
Department of Trade & Industry
Tagbilaran City
Dear Ms. Arbon,
Greetings!
This is to formally file this complaint against Cell Depot, a cellfone
store in Tagbilaran which failed to deliver the item in good condition.
It is along this scenario that I’m submitting the details of the incident:
1) Purchased a Sony Erickson W5801 unit at Cell Depot on May 15, 2008
2) Return the unit to Cell Depot for repair on June 28, 2008 (which they
accepted)
3) The store informed me that they will send the unit to Manila for repair
4) When they said the unit already came from Manila, the same problem with
the unit which “Can not call & receive calls as well as can not send and
receive text messagesâ€
It is along this line that I am filing this formal complaint. It either I
was given a used cellphone or a defective cellfone which as a
consumer/customer, I am demanding my right. I am sending this complaint
since, Cell Depot accepted my cellfone to be repaired. But, the unit was
not operating as expected even after they accepted it for repair.
Knowing the credibility of DTI, may I therefore rest this case to your
good office for proper action.
My interest is not just for my own sake, but for those other customers
being victimized with this way of handling complaints on damaged cell
phones.
I sincerely hope that this complaint be given your kind attention.
Thank you. More power.
Very truly yours,
(Sgd.) MA. CLEOFE MONCADA
cc. Regional Director, DTI Region 7
