The Province of Bohol and the City of Tagbilaran led the 3rd round winners of the DILG’s Seal of Good Housekeeping which recognizes local government units with above benchmark performance in internal housekeeping.
DILG Provincial Director Ma.Loisella E. Lucino revealed that the winners were awarded plaques and certificates of conferment by DILG Secretary Jesse M. Robredo who graced Tapatan on Disaster Preparedness and Climate Change Adaptation: A Call To Action summit at the Cebu International Convention Center, MandaueCity on May 25, 2012.
The municipalities that were conferred with the seal were
Alburquerque,Antequera, Baclayon, Bien Unido, Bilar, Buenavista, Calape, Catigbian, Corella, Danao, Dimiao, Garcia-Hernandez, Getafe, Guindulman, Inabanga, Lila, Loon, Sagbayan, San Isidro, Sevilla, Sikatuna, Talibon, Trinidad, Tubigon and Valencia.
The third round of the survey looked into the findings of the Commission of Audit and the LGUs’ compliance to the full disclosure policy of the DILG.
Previous awardees were the municipalities of Balilihan, Catigbian and Maribojoc for the first round. Second round winners include the LGUs of Balilihan, Clarin, Dauis, Jagna, Loboc, Maribojoc, Panglao, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, San Miguel and Ubay.
The winners of the two rounds already availed the Performance Challenge Fund of One Million Pesos, an incentive fund to qualified LGUs and used to finance development projects in line with national thrusts, millennium development goals or local economic development.
