MANILA, Nov. 6 (PNA) -- The Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) is set to render its decision in the disqualification case filed by Rizalito David against Senator Grace Poe on Nov. 17.
During the meeting of the SET in a hotel in Manila, the tribunal set the date to make the voting on the case.
According to SET Chair and Supreme Court (SC) Senior Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio, the voting has been set on Nov. 17, 2015, some weeks before the release of the final list of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) of the official candidates for the May 9, 2016 elections.
However, no venue was mentioned where the voting will be cast, but on the day itself of Nov. 17, the copy of the decision may also be released officially.
In his complaint, David questioned the citizenship of Poe, specifically whether or not she is a natural-born citizen, which is one of the qualifications for the candidates for senator, congressman, vice president and president. (PNA)
