Politics demotes district engineer

“Petty politics, not the rule of merit, pushed me down as a plain division chief,†thus claimed DPWH-1 District Engr. Yolanda Requierme.
Requierme will now be reporting to her new assignment as regional planning and design section chief of DPWH regional offices, the post vacated by her successor here, OIC District Engr. Adelaida Paylado.
Paylado, who once served as Tagbilaran City engineer assumed to head the DPWH-1 last Tuesday.
“I am actually demoted because by rank, a regional section head is lower than a district engineer,†Requierme said.
