Arroyo Administrative Order No. 164
P6T performance bonus list casuals, contractuals
Published: December 17, 2006 by The Bohol Standard

A HAPPY Christmas to all government workers’ families must not be spoiled by other reasons.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has signed Administrative Order (AO) No. 164 authorizing the grant of performance bonuses not earlier than December 15.

The order explicitly grants performance bonus not only to permanent workers but also for temporary, casual or contractual state employees who have rendered the state at least four (4) months of service as of November 30.

Those who have rendered services and were hired less than four months are also entitled to a bonus though at a pro rated scheme, the AO declares.

State workers who have rendered three months but less than four months of service as of Nov. 30 this year get 40% of the cashfall; while those who have 2 moths under their service records get 30% of the bonus amount.

Those who have rendered a month but less than 2 could get 20% and for those serving less than a month, they get 10%.

Under the A.O., all personnel of the national government, including government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) and government financial institutions (GFIs), whether hired on permanent, temporary, casual or contractual basis and who have rendered at least four (4) months of service as of Nov. 30, 2006, are entitled to receive a performance bonus.

The bonus is in recognition of the state workers’ commendable work and effort towards sustaining sound fiscal performance.

The Department of Budget and Management revealed that the fiscal performance for 2006 is better than expected figures insofar as the macro-economic performance is concerned.

Ermita pointed out that the government was able to accomplish the targets it set in terms of delivery of services to the public despite operating on a reenacted budget.

The Chief Executive inked the EO Monday, Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said during his weekly press conference in Malacanang.

Ermita said the performance bonus was from "pooled savings" generated by different government agencies.

Last year, the government granted P5,000 performance bonus to all government workers pursuant to A.O. 131 dated Dec. 15, 2005. (rachiu/PIA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
