It’s one-on-one in Clarin, Bohol
Published February 4, 2001 - Bohol Chronicle
By Wenny Reyes
CLARIN, Bohol - Contrary to speculations, no three-cornered fight in the mayoralty race will ever ensue here.
Vice mayor Teresita Ceniza-Aron made the assurance despite reports that she and Hermogenes Diezon will part ways and launch their own respective candidacies against Mayor Trifon Sanchez.
She said, it will be a one-on-one battle between her group and the incumbent mayor.
During her first stint in politics running for the vice mayoralty bet in 1998 elections, she won by a landslide against Sanchez.
The three-cornered fight story surfaced when Diezon recently declared as winner in the mayoralty race against Sanchez by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) second division. Some groups speculate that Diezon’s victory in the electoral protest may have propelled the latter to set a return bout against Sanchez to erase the doubts of his (Diezon) protest victory. Ceniza-Aron was also reported to have long prepared her own agenda of gunning for the top post.
Ceniza-Aron told the CHRONICLE that she and Diezon forged an agreement that they will remain united. Either of  them expressed to support whoever will banner their local slate.
Diezon has not yet made up his mind, though, whether to seek another try in the mayoralty race. It will be known in a matter of days, he said. But he will not stale for the vice mayoralty position. Ceniza-Aron is willing to stay in the second post if Dieson decides to run as mayor. Their complete line-up is ready for finalization.
As this developed, an unidentified political ward expressed his preference on Ceniza-Aron to run for mayor. He said that Ceniza-Aron’s approachable lifestyle coupled with a dedicated public service made the latter a strong and potential contender in the mayoralty position. The same source added that Ceniza-Aron even made her home an extension office to accommodate her constituents needing attention and service.
The CHRONICLE learned that the incumbent vice mayor is giving free medicines to those who need it. Said expensive medicines are sent by her relatives from a broad.
Ceniza-Aron also stated that they will be running under the Relampagos wing. However said even without the provincial leadership’s backup their group will put up a formidable team. After all, Ceniza-Aron said when she won last elections, she was not solely dependent of the party’s support.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
