Again, it is beyond comprehension why children revolts against their parents.
The P4-million fire in barangay Villalimpia, Loay was believed caused by intentional fire by an irate son of one of the razed house.
Police investigators are eyeing the angle of arson as witnesses pointed to one Llyod Lagura as having threatened to set fire to their own house minutes before flames were noticed by neighbors.
The son reportedly shouted: “gihagit ko ninyo, sunogon ko ning balaya†(you are challenging me, I will set fire to this house), witnesses recalled.
The outburst was followed by screams from a woman, a live-in partner of the suspect.
Fire investigator however declined to say that the incident indeed caused the fire until they gather enough evidence to warrant the filing of a case.
The fire burned to the ground three house owned by the Babatuan, Lagura and Quinio families. The nearby house of Loay mayor Leonides Tiongco was spared by a firewall.
