PH welcomes Macao businessmen. The Philippines, through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), welcomed 44 delegates from the Macao ASEAN International Chamber of Commerce (MAICC) for a Seminar on Trade and Investment held at the Hyatt City of Dreams Manila in Pasay City. DTI Trade and Investments Promotion Group Undersecretary Nora K. Terrado (seated; 7th from left) graced the event, noting abundant opportunities to increase trade and investment cooperation between PH and Macao. Terrado also recognized the Philippines’ and Macao’s shared vision of further integrating MSMEs in the global economic arena. The event was followed by a business matching session attended by more than 50 companies from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FFCCCI), and Manila WTC Club. Led by MAICC President Amber Li (seated; 8th from left), and accompanied by Consul General Lilybeth Deapera of the Philippine Consulate General in Macao (seated; 9th from left), the MAICC delegation in its 5-day visit pursued opportunities in key Philippine industries of tourism and hospitality, real estate and property, maritime transport services and logistics, garment manufacturing, and finance.
