Eat your Heart out, Chiz!

ON TARGET
Chiz Escudero: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?

By Ramon Tulfo
Philippine Daily Inquirer
Monday, March 18th, 2013

There is a chink in the armor of senatorial derby frontrunner Chiz Escudero: his would-be parents-in-law.

Rey and Baby Ongpauco, owners of the Barrio Fiesta chain of restaurants, have poured out to their best friend what they felt about the senator. The friend, in turn, revealed all to this columnist.

The Ongpaucos are parents of actress Heart Evangelista,  Escudero’s fiancée.

Heart owns a condominium unit one floor above Heart’s parents in Makati City which Chiz visits regularly.

According to this friend of the Ongpaucos, Escudero’s driver went to the unit of Heart’s parents several days ago to get all of her clothes in her room.

The Ongpaucos asked why Heart would want all her clothes when she could easily get down to their unit to change, but the driver said he didn’t know and for them to just ask Heart and Chiz.

There was an altercation between Rey Ongpauco and the senator’s driver who was reportedly arrogant, according to  our source, leading to a fight that resulted in the driver being beaten up inside the unit of the Ongpaucos.

The incident was a culmination of the bad blood between the senator and the Ongpaucos, according to the parents of the actress.

“Bastos siya, ‘di kami ginagalang (He’s ill-mannered, he doesn’t respect us),” our source quoted the Ongpaucos as telling her.

Quoting the Ongpaucos, the young senator-reelectionist allegedly always had a drink too many when he talks to them.

When they visit Heart at the condominium unit and Chiz happens to be there, her parents feel insulted because the senator reportedly does  not even greet them or stand up.

“We thought that since he’s a senator and comes from a supposedly good family he was taught good manners by his parents,” the Ongpaucos were quoted by their friend as saying.

“Talagang bastos siya, parang walang pinag-aralan (He’s so uncouth as if  he had no education at all),” Baby Ongpauco was quoted by her friend in describing Escudero.

The senator sounded surprised when I reached him by phone Monday.

“My God, why would I do that to Heart’s parents?” said the senator.

“My parents taught me good manners,” said the senator.

Escudero said Heart and her parents have a family quarrel and he’s caught in the middle.

I got back to my source and told her about the senator’s claim that he was caught in the middle of family intramurals.

She said it was Chiz who was prodding—“sinusulsulan” was her word—Heart to fight her parents.

She added that if  other journalists interviewed the Ongpaucos, they would confirm what she revealed to me.

If what the source said about the senator is true, then he has a Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde personality,  showing his good side in public and the bad in his personal life.

Chiz Escudero "unacceptable" to Heart Evangelista's family; Ongpaucos disown "scandalous behavior" of Heart

Philippine Entertainment Portal
Mar 20 2013

by Erwin Santiago

Photo By: Nimfa Chua / Jocelyn Dimaculangan

Nakasaad sa statement: “We believe that we have a right to defend ourselves against unfair accusations made by Heart, under the dictation of Chiz, who clearly wrote the letter signed by Heart and published by a movie columnist.”

UNACCEPTABLE. Inisa-isa rin ng ina ni Heart kung bakit “unacceptable” sa kanilang pamilya ang senador:

“1. Religious Reason. Chiz obviously has a personality defect. His wife, with whom he has two children, left him for reasons that have been the talk of Metro Manila. Chiz and his wife obtained a civil annulment. Thus, under the rules of the Catholic church to which my family belongs, Chiz is disqualified to remarry, unless he obtains a Church annulment.

2. Personality Problem. Chiz is surrounded by unsavory gossip which has already reached social media. The cause of his annulment and his peculiar habits are swirling over his head, and he has never bothered to explain himself. He projects himself as a wholesome candidate, but we know better. We challenge Chiz to stop dictating to our daughter. Stop hiding behind the skirts of Heart and stop using her as an armor to shield yourself from very serious questions about your character and personality.

3. Alcoholic. The first time Chiz visited our home, we saw that he was drunk and he smelled of alcohol. The second time he went to our family home, he was again drunk, carrying a bottle of red wine. During both visits, he hardly spoke a respectful word. He sat slumped in a chair with his legs spread outward. He has never formally asked for our daughter’s hand, or explained how he will support her and his wife at the same time.

4. Illusions. According to Heart, Chiz has promised her that he will become President by 2016, and then she will be addressed as 'First Lady.' The staff of Chiz sometimes addresses him as Mr. President. This is pure seduction, because we believe Chiz does not stand any chance to become President or Vice-President, owing to his secret character.

Furthermore, he once boasted to Heart that he runs a lucrative law office, and that a multinational is poised to pay his law firm over P200 million a year for lawyering for the multinational. One more boast of Chiz is that he has already the guaranteed financial contribution of a businessman who has been listed among the ten billionaires of the Philippines, but who is under investigation by the Senate. Heart believes all these claims made by her boyfriend, without any evidence.

5. Opportunism. Chiz has virtually moved into the condo unit owned by Heart. He uses her Mercedes Benz at will, particularly during night time, indicative of her own disturbed personality. Heart encourages this behavior from Chiz, as she did with the rest of her prior boyfriends. She has been diagnosed as a needy personality, but she refuses psychiatric treatment.

6. Case vs. Chiz. Because of Heart’s naiveté, I have been compelled to act as her talent manager. We recently signed Heart’s contract with a certain TV channel. Now, Chiz is urging her to have my name removed as talent manager. All the acts of Chiz indicate that his public persona is far different from his real character. My husband and I are in the process of gathering evidence to prove that he is a Jekyll-and-Hyde personality, as suggested by a print columnist.”

CRIMINAL CASE AGAINST CHIZ. Sabi pa ni Mrs. Ongpauco, dahil sa mga nangyari ay balak nilang magsampa ng demanda laban kay Chiz:

“a criminal case for libel, for claiming that he is caught in the middle of a family feud; when the truth is, Chiz is the very source of our family feud.”

It is a public knowledge that Chiz is an alcoholic. This is the main reason why his wife left him.

During the impeachment trial of CJ Corona, Chiz was trying to project an image of being the "most super brilliant" among the senators.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

somewhere in the internet highways, the following was passed on and spread.  whether it's true or not, whether it's plain politics once again, here it is, an excerpt about chiz escudero:

His hunger for power is insatiable.  Walang kabusugan.  As soon as he was supported by friends, allies, financiers, and his own party his stardom in the political world zoomed to admirable proportions.  His ratings and potential for a higher position in office was considerable.  And then the problem started.

Chiz Escudero, unbeknownst to his allies, is obsessed with the Presidency of the Philippines.  Not even 40 years old he was audacious enough to declare to everyone that he wasn't "just for the Vice Presidency in 2010.  He was, he says, "fit for the  Presidency".  "I want to be the President!" he told his allies.  His obsession and "kahambugan, kayabangang sobra" turned off most of his supporters.  They all told his it was "too soon!". He demanded for P5 Billion from NPC Boss Danding Cojuangco to campaign for President but the old and wise strongman declined thinking Chiz to be "masyadong presumido. Nagmamadali!".

But Chiz did not want to listen.

The grapevine says that one of Erap's children has told the story about when Chiz and Erap were inexplotatory talks on forming a tandem for this 2010 election, Erap became enraged at Chiz's suggestion that maybe the former president should just be his vice-president and not the other way around! Again, masyadong presumido, kahambugan, kayabangang sobra! Nagmamadali!

But again Chiz did not want to listen.

Traitor to His Party

And then Chiz Escudero decided to bite that hand that fed him all his political life.  He turned against his own home party, the NPC, and badmouthed its leadership, namely, Danding Cojuangco.  Everyone at the NPC called Chiz Escudero "the ungrateful bastard".

Escudero became political laughingstock.  He went on television and radio and started yacking furious like a woman scorned.  But to no avail.  Escudero was a has been even before he became. (no author named)
