Globe Telecom on Monday said it has strengthened its roaming network to more international destinations.
In a statement, the Ayala-led telco said it offers roaming service to more than 200 destinations around the world, even in International Air Space and International Waters.
Given this, Globe subscribers can make calls and send text messages while on board a plane or ship.
Globe has currently established partnerships with more than 600 roaming partners from all over the world.
It provides strong network signal abroad and worldwidest network coverage to enterprise customers both on postpaid and prepaid mobile.
Jesus C. Romero, head of enterprise segments at Globe Business, said strong telco alliances allow Globe to deliver enhanced international connections and roaming services to subscribers.
Thus, Globe Business is able to provide full mobility to its customers anywhere they go, even in destinations like Comoros Islands, Uzbekistan, Equatorial Guinea and many more.
“Complementing our worldwidest roaming coverage is our network resiliency that ensures our customers of continuous connections and availability of mobile services anywhere outside of the Philippines. In Globe Business, providing superior customer experience is on top of everything we do. The continuous build up of our roaming network is part of our aim to deliver unparalleled service to customers, as we remain responsive to their mobility needs,†Romero said.
At end-June, Globe had a total of 23.71 million subscribers.
Owned by Ayala Corp. and Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., Globe recorded a net income of P5.1 billion in the first six months of the year, down by 29 percent compared with last year’s P7.2 billion.
In the second quarter alone, Globe’s net income amounted to P2.39 billion, down from P3.25 billion in the same period last year.
The company’s consolidated service revenues for the first six months stood at P30.7 billion, down 3 percent from P31.7 billion last year. (PNA)
