Thanks Ms. Brownman,  he is using a "spiegelreflex camera"........he was waiting every morning when that eagle came accross over the sea.  He did it perfectly in the third try.  I also like it! It was in an early morning short after 6:00.

I remembered back in the 80s during my high school days. I am frequent in Sitio Ubos near Tantrade pier (Ihawan sa una). One day while cutting classes, I saw an eagle diving for fish and it really did caught a big fish by its claws.

Mr.Macks, sa Tantrade ka, kami sa K of C my friends and I used to sit there and just chilling out. And we never pay much attention, we thought it's just a huge bird. Now, can't imagine how much I appreciate seeing them again, someday.

Hi Macky, this beautiful early morning elegant feature too awesome - spreading his wide wings.... we watched it every morning until my brother-in-law got this perfect view of his camera lense.  This area is at the opposite side of that Ihawan before (we rented Ex-Mayors Torralba's house between Casa Felomina and Olmann's view.

As far as, I know they have lot of houses for rent..Just visit in Villa Pastora at the back of Grandstand. He owns there beautiful houses. Perting pag-daghan in a short time, business as usual?

Well, that big house we rented for 2 weeks for 15 thousand Pesos excluding water, elec and all neccessities is not really recommendable...The view is uncomporable and unpayable, that is the only thing counted much.

Pero kining dakong balay, I didn't.
You mean that house is not comfy enough and over priced? I guess it's the view that they're trying to sell

Ah the Philippine Eagle. Such a regal species.

This coming summer is my vacation and part of my plan is visiting my in-laws place in Esperanza Agusan Del Sur. It is the home of the last virgin forest in the Phils. and also the nesting place of the Philippine Eagle or Monkey Eating Eagle. I saw one that stands 5 ft. from head to toe. It really could carry a 4 year old child at flight. I mean not an obese one.

I will take some pics this time.

I read that the Philippine Eagle is known as the "Monkey Eating" Eagle. Apparently, one of its favorite dishes are indigenous moneys, tarsiers, deer, fish, and pythons.

Truly a powerful and majestic bird.

By the way, it is quite coincidental that one of the articles in the Feb 2008 issue of National Geographic Magazine is the Philippine Eagle. If I'm not mistaken it is page 40. It says they have successfully raised some young Eagles from breeding in captivity program. Then they have re-introduced some of them to the wild. Also mentioned is the wing span of these magnificent birds that would reach up to 7 feet across.

Here it is "Lord of the Forest"

And here is a related link to that Article: http://goodnewspilipinas.com/docs/beauty_of_the_phils/current/nat_geo_phil_eagle.html
