Fire at Taiwan care center kills 4
TAIPEI, March 10 (PNA/Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at a long-term care center in Taiwan's Taoyuan city Friday morning, killing four and injuring 13, the local fire department said.
The fire started at 5:05 a.m. and was put out half an hour later, with more than 30 people rescued from the building, which mainly houses the elderly.
The fire may have been caused by the use of candles after a blackout in the morning, the department said.
An investigation is underway. (PNA/Xinhua)
