the top 5 youngest are all in africa.  could it be because their average life expectancy is just as low?  could their median age be younger because most of them don't reach old age?

in terms of life expectancy (as of 2012/wikipedia), out of 193 countries, those countries are ranked thus: niger (176), uganda (175), mali (186), malawi (170), zambia (177).
