Space Coast Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Shane Hoyle to vice president of retail services, central Florida.
Hoyle joined SCCU in February of 2012 as a branch manager, bringing over six years of management and coaching experience within the financial services industry. Hoyle immediately demonstrated his leadership skills and in particular a talent for developing people. During Hoyle’s short tenure more than 30 of his employees have been promoted to positions throughout the credit union.
Hoyle himself was promoted in just over two years, assuming the role of director of retail services for south Brevard and Indian River County in November of 2014. In this role, he spent the next three years overseeing the credit union’s 12 branches and membership in these two counties.
Hoyle was tapped to participate on several important credit union projects, including the implementation of electronic document signing, which added great convenience for members with online loan closings. During the credit union’s core systems upgrade in 2016, Hoyle successfully led the conversion of the credit union’s credit card systems and, most recently, he assumed leadership over SCCU’s Business Services department, serving over 60,000 local small businesses with checking and saving accounts, business loans, credit cards and more.
“Shane’s strong leadership and can-do attitude make him an obvious fit for this position,†said SCCU chief of retail delivery and executive vice president Heather Hickman. “Under his direction, our branches will continue protecting our members by helping them make educated financial decisions and prepare for the future.â€
In his new role, Hoyle will oversee the branches and membership within the credit union’s entire central Florida market, encompassing Brevard, Flagler, Indian River, and Volusia counties.
