The Association of United Development Information Officers (AUDIO) has changed guards by electing its officers for year 2011-2012 during the 2-day enhancement skills training seminar held at Jjs Seafood Village Restauant here.
At the helm is Augustus Escobia, who is the head of the governor’s Office Effective Development Communication (EDCOM), as the president of the AUDIO composed of information officers of the municipalities and national government agencies (NGA) based here.
No less Gov. Edgar M. Chatto has sworn in the new AUDIO officers during a simple ceremony Thursday night.
Inducted were Escobia; Pilar town IO Bert Jaspe, vice-president for LGU; Ma. Lydia Bantugan (DAR), VP for NGA; Ma. Elena Maniwang (Balilihan), secretary; Elvira Bongosia (PIA), assistant secretary; Felita Naomi Molino (Carmen), treasurer; Mae Remedios C. Virtucio (BISU), assistant treasurer; Jun Eric Flor (San Isidro), auditor; and Raymund Vincent Delgado (Tubigon), Jojeline Ruiz-Bunedia (Trinidad), Lindsey Marie Vismanos (Garcia-Hernandez) and Jaminel Damolo (TESDA), public relations officers. Ric V. Obedencio, the past president, is now member of the board of advisors with Rey Anthony Chiu, OIC Information Center manager of the Philippine Information Agency.
Chatto pointed out in is short message that the role of the IOs is vital to the development. He said that information or communication is a two-way street that the IO should see to it that it is “truthful, accurate and quick†in the its dissemination to the people. - press release
