DepEd creates drug-free workplace committee

MANILA, March 2 (PNA) -- The Education Department has formed a drug-free workplace committee to strengthen its anti-illegal drugs programs.

The department said in a memorandum Thursday that the committee will oversee the following: formulation and implementation of anti-drug abuse policy; training and continuing education and awareness program for officers and employees; initiate and adopt value formation, family enhancement and other relevant programs; formulate and set the drug testing program for the department.

The department explained the creation of the committee will complement its existing National Drug Education Program.

The anti-drug program will cover the Central Office, Regional Offices, Schools Division Offices and schools.

The committee will be led by Undersecretary Alberto Muyot as its chairperson and Assistant Secretary Nepomuceno Malaluan as co-chaiperson. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
