DOLE resets TIPC meeting next week
MANILA, March 2 (PNA) -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has reset the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC) meeting next week.
The meeting, which was originally set at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Ople Hall of the DOLE building in Manila has been moved to second week of March.
"We will reset this meeting to early next week," Undersecretary Joel Maglungsod said.
The TIPC, composed of workers, employers and government representatives, serves as the clearinghouse of all labor polices, with the power to endorse proposed issuances to the DOLE chief.
Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre Bello III supposed to head the meeting. He flew in from Dubai late afternoon.
They were scheduled to discuss the draft of a Department Order, that will help curb contractualization in response to the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte. (PNA)
