ROTC Ibalik: Uyon Ba Mo?

Pugsanay nga ROTC sa college gitinguhang ibalik

Saturday, August 7, 2010

(VLM)

Another stupidity in our Philippine society. I wasted two years of my life in college with this foolish ROTC. Whole day of saturday, whole day of sunday, magmarcha-marcha, dakong binuang. What did we learn? left-right-left-right-left-right. 2 years pud sa high school nga puro ra left-right-left-right Monday to Sunday.

Sa Tagalog pa: sistemang bulok.

Te, in Ateneo and La Salle, main source of income ni sa mga reserved army officials. The rich just give money to ROTC officials in exchange of not attending ROTC drills.

I aggre that ROTC is back again because the younger generation are mostly obese. They do nothing on weekends but setting in front of the computer playing games. They need to go out there and do exercise and face reality. One of my sons is studying criminology at HNU and is a candidate for officer in the reserve force..They do jogging early in the morning every Otherday as part of there training. I Can notice he became more responsible more respectful and more discipline.Im 100 percent aggre for the coming back of ROTC.

yup. ok pod ko ani..but bringing up ROTC again is like waking up the dead..

Somehow the ghosts of the past will haunt the very officials who want this reinstated.

I just hope they will exorcise first the demons ROTC has been embittered with so many irregularities.

I had wanted to be a soldier and until now I still believe that personal experience with military training, as may be gathered from basic ROTC, isn't exactly a bad idea. The corruption which characterized the Philippine ROTC experience does not detract from the virtues that military discipline embodies.

Yes, the military isn't wanting in idiots and criminals, but such is the condition of every department of life.
