Pope Francis Prefers Pastors Over Priests
« on: September 20, 2013, 01:09:37 PM »
"The people of God want pastors," Francis continued, "not clergy acting like bureaucrats or government officials."

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

wowie, makabuhig dugo, bahalag berdeng dugo.

bitaw, i have real good gay friends.  my favorite cousin is one, and i'm very protective of him.  they are way, way greater human beings than some straights i know.  i cannot imagine heaven closing its door on them.

that's why i'll never forget these vignettes described to me by our household help who got it from a friend...

1.  an INC high-ranking member said that should any of his children turn out to be gay, he will have to kill that child

2.  that church "invited" a gay guy (in the manner of indirection as that guy was told only to listen to some lectures and wasn't told what it was about).  so he went, with face made up and wearing ladies' high-heeled shoes.

embarrassingly, he was made as the visual example by the fire-and-brimstone lecture of their pastor.  something like:

bakit ang katoliko ay lumuluhod?  mga bakla lang ang lumuluhod dahil iba ang diyos nila.  yung sa lalaking nakaupo, yun ang diyos nila.  labag sa utos ng diyos ang maging bakla...

i'm not much for disrespecting other religions.  but this particular one that started within our own country is over the top.  the behavior of its adherents makes my blood boil.  i must say they're the worst recruiters by displaying that they're infallible.

i'd rather talk to jehovah's witnesses because they show understanding and kindness.  i don't have to believe in what they believe in.  i just enjoy the exchange of ideas and how perfect their articles are in their publications in terms of grammar and syntax.
